The REBANHOS network aims to bring together experts from diverse fields, including history, archaeology, anthropology, economic history, ecology, sustainable development, animal husbandry, economy and cultural heritage. Together, we aim to establish a comprehensive, interdisciplinary framework to enhance the use of long-term empirical archaeological and historical data to address present-day challenges (e.g. prevention of wildfires, increase food security in the current context of climatic change and increased geopolitical uncertainty, loss of heritage and traditional know-how).
